Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov held meetings with Foreign Ministers of Poland Yatsek Chaputovich, the Czech Republic - Tomáš Petříček, Croatia - Marija Pejčinović Burić, and Latvia - Edgars Rinkēvičs within the framework of participation in the OSCE Ministerial Council in Milan (Italy). The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that during the meeting with Chaputovich, the sides discussed topical issues of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Poland, the prospects for further cooperation with an eye to intensify the bilateral dialogue. “The sides also exchanged views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda. The ministers noted the importance of increasing interaction between the foreign affairs ministries of the two countries,” the Foreign Ministry reported. During the conversation with Petříček, a wide range of issues related to the interaction of Kyrgyzstan and the Czech Republic in bilateral and multilateral cooperation formats were discussed. The sides reaffirmed their readiness for further progressive development of bilateral relations. The Foreign Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Czech Republic took note of the importance of strengthening economic cooperation and decided to work out the issues of holding a business forum in this context. During the meeting, the Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Croatia stressed the importance of further bilateral cooperation, expressing hope for further intensification of the whole range of relations between the countries, including in enhancing political, trade and economic ties. The sides discussed issues of consultations between foreign ministries, as well as organization of a bilateral business forum. During the meeting of Aidarbekov and Rinkēvičs, the sides stated the need to intensify bilateral cooperation, as well as further strengthen trade and economic cooperation, including within the framework of the GSP+ status of Kyrgyzstan. “In order to further deepen the bilateral Kyrgyz-Latvian cooperation, the sides expressed readiness to hold the first Kyrgyz-Latvian inter-MFA consultations in 2019 in Bishkek. An exchange of views took place on regional and international agenda issues,” the message read. Read more
