Bishkek, Feb. 15, 2019. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Sooronbay Jeenbekov took part Friday in a solemn meeting dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, the press service of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic reported. The President noted that the feat of the soldiers who participated in the Afghan war, will remain the highest example of the defense of the Fatherland. He expressed his condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the victims. A minute of silence was declared in honor of the compatriots who died heroically in the Afghan war. Jeenbekov stressed that the life experience of Afghan soldiers is necessary even now for the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, state and public organizations. Head of the Republican Council of Afghanistan War Veterans, Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) Kojobek Ryspaev and Chairman of the Kyrgyz Public Movement of Afghanistan Veterans of Afghanistan Abdygul Chotbaev spoke at the solemn meeting.
