Sultan Sema Gökçe, a physical education teacher and survivor of a massacre in Afyonkarahisar, gave her testimony regarding the attack. The perpetrator, Arif Sefa Özdemir, killed eight people during the incident. Gökçe stated that the attacker targeted three teachers to steal their vehicles. He issued death threats to the victims before acting. He told them he would count down from three and shoot if they did not get out. Once the countdown finished, he opened fire.
