Pengumuman Prakualifikasi Jasa Konsultansi Set-up dan Pendampingan Implementasi Building Information Modeling (BIM) di PT PLN (Persero)
PT PLN (Persero), the Indonesian state electricity utility, has opened prequalification for a consultancy contract covering the set-up and guided implementation of Building Information Modeling. It wants outside experts who can build the BIM framework from scratch and then stay on while internal engineers put the system to work. BIM replaces flat drawings with shared digital models of construction projects, which cuts errors and redesign work. Firms interested in the job have to clear the prequalification stage before any bidding, submitting proof of past projects and staff competence. The announcement sets out the required documents and the technical criteria the utility will use to screen candidates. Work on this scale usually runs for months and pairs outside software specialists with PLN's own project teams. Once BIM is in place, the company expects its new infrastructure to be designed with fewer clashes and tighter cost control. Firms that miss the prequalification window are out of the running entirely.
