A freight load of personal care products went up in flames on the Anadolu Motorway in Bolu. The fire broke out in the trailer of a TIR, the long-haul truck type common on Turkish roads. Firefighters were dispatched and brought the blaze under control. Their response came too late for the cargo, though. Everything in the trailer was wrecked by the flames and written off as unusable. There was no word on what sparked the fire or whether anyone was hurt. The burned-out trailer left crews with a mess to clear on one of the region's busiest routes.
