Ten-year-old Jessica Cronin from Killarney spent Friday afternoon in a salon chair and walked out twelve inches lighter on top. The haircut was only part of it, because the money she raised in the process came to thousands. Two charities will be the beneficiaries. When asked about her reasons, she kept it plain: 'I just want to help somebody.' Giving up something you have grown attached to is hard at any age, and doing it for strangers at ten stands out even more.
