US President Donald Trump says he will get in touch with Elon Musk if problems with Ukraine's Starshield communications platform are not resolved. Starshield is the military-grade satellite communications service built by Musk's company SpaceX, and Ukrainian forces depend on it for secure links on the battlefield. Trump framed direct contact with Musk as a fallback if the technical issue cannot be sorted out through normal channels. The comment signals concern at the highest level of the US government about a possible gap in Ukraine's military communications. Any sustained outage on the platform would hit Ukrainian units at a time when connectivity can decide battlefield coordination. Neither SpaceX nor Ukrainian officials were quoted on the scale or duration of the problem. It remains unclear what exactly is malfunctioning or how long the fault has persisted.
