Ship traffic through the Istanbul Strait was halted after a tanker entered the waterway. The vessel, a crude oil carrier flying a Barbados flag, had been damaged by an unmanned aerial vehicle attack while operating in the Black Sea. The tanker, identified as TARYN EVE, measures roughly 183 metres in length. Turkish Coast Guard units escorted the damaged ship as it proceeded through the strait. Additional tugboats accompanied the tanker to ensure safe navigation. Authorities suspended normal vessel movements until the situation was under control.
