지난해 국내에서 벤처 투자를 받은 기업의 절반 이상이 창업 7년이 넘은 후기 스타트업으로 파악됐다. 정부는 초기 창업 기업에 대한 투자 활성화를 위해 모태펀드 창업 초기 분야 출자를 2배 이상 확대해 3333억 원 이상의 전용 펀드를 조성하기로 했다. 중소벤처기업부는 13일 이같은 내용을 담은 ‘2025년 국내 벤처 투자 및 펀드결성 동향과 유니콘기업 현황’을 발표했다. 지난해 벤처투자는 창업 7년 이내 창업기업에 6조2088억 원(45.6%), 창업 7년 초과 기업에 7조4156억 원(54.4%) 이루어졌다. 창업 기업 중 3년 이내의 초기 창업기업에 투자가 이뤄진 금액은 2조2666억(16.6%)에 머물렀다. 전년과 비교하면 1.9%가량 늘었지만, 창업 7년이 초과한 후기 기업에 대한 투자가 같은 기간 16.5% 증가한 것과 비교하면 상대적으로 적다. 노용석 중기부 1차관은 “후기기업에 대한 투자 비중은 높아지고 초기창업기업에 대한 투자 비중이 작아지고 있는 것은 검증된 성장
