The Singapore Police Force (SPF) is making use of new technologies such as unmanned aircraft vehicles (UAVs) and 3D scanners to enhance efficiency in forensic investigations.The fundamentals of forensic investigative processes remain the same, but they are instead complemented by advancements in technologies, said the police during a media engagement session on Monday (June 8) which showcased their forensic division capabilities.During the session, the police also referenced the 2016 Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal murder case — where a Malaysian man stabbed his supervisor and hid her body in a drain before fleeing the country — and shared how the latest technologies could have been applied to the investigations. According to a press release on Wednesday, the police said that the new technologies have been adopted by the forensics division under Home Team Science and Technology Agency Integrated Forensics Service, which is a specialised unit that is forward deployed to SPF's Criminal Investigation Department.

La panelista de «Plan Perfecto», de CHV, recordó el episodio del que fue víctima cuando estas imágenes, que originalmente se encontraban en el computador de una expareja, se esparcieron rápidamente por la web.  «Fue otra época», aseguró la profesional de la litigación y figura de televisiva, sincerando que «se te desarma el mundo, se te cae el mundo, sientes una vergüenza, una culpabilidad». Venegas dio cuenta de que dicho material se difundió tres años después de haber terminado la relación con aquella pareja, enterándose de la filtración en 2010 al ser contactada por un periodista, quien le hizo llegar las fotos para confirmar si era ella quien salía en las postales publicadas en algunos portales web. «Yo veo las fotos (en mi celular) y tuve que parar el auto», indicó, pues se encontraba manejando al momento del contacto. «Tenía el corazón que se me iba a salir por la boca… de verdad se me vino el mundo abajo. Ha sido de los momentos más terribles de mi vida». La abogada también reveló que su madre, que «era muy católica y conservadora», no le habló en un mes. «(Para ella) fue una deshonra terrible, era lo peor que yo, como hija, le podría haber hecho a mi mamá», aseveró. «Había confiado en la persona que era mi pareja y esa persona había traicionado lo más bonito que tiene una relación de pareja, que es la confianza», enfatizó Venegas, dando cuenta de que su expareja había negado la filtración -siendo la única persona que tenía esas fotos- y que en aquella ocasión «me decepcioné de muchas personas, porque muchas me indicaron con el dedo, muchas mujeres, desde el gimnasio, desde mi trabajo».
