Two people died following an accident involving six vehicles at a traffic junction in Tampines on Monday (April 22) morning. They include a 17-year-old female car passenger and a 57-year-old female van passenger, who were taken unconscious to hospital where they later died, the police told AsiaOne. Six other people were conveyed conscious to hospital — three male car drivers aged between 42 and 48, a 64-year-old male van driver, a 11-year-old male car passenger and a 11-year-old male minibus passenger. Additionally, a 42-year-old female car driver and 39-year-old male van passenger later sought medical attention on their own. The 42-year-old driver of the black MPV is assisting with police investigations. On Monday morning, dashcam footage posted on Facebook group Singapore Road Vigilante showed a black multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) speeding along Tampines Avenue 1 while switching lanes. A 45-year-old salesman surnamed Li was driving his daughter to school when he saw the MPV driving erratically. Read more
