A restaurant involved in preparing and cooking seafood foraged from Changi Beach has apologised.In a statement posted on its Facebook page on Saturday (Aug 8), Havelock Palace said it had confirmed the incident following an internal review and apologised for its involvement.«We acknowledge that accepting and handling ingredients outside our approved sourcing channels did not meet the standards we expect of ourselves as a food establishment,» said the restaurant.Havelock Palace said it has since tightened its procedures, including its food sourcing and receiving controls, as well as supplier documentation and traceability.It has also prohibited food from unauthorised or unverified sources, saying that it would conduct refresher training for its management and kitchen teams on food safety and proper food handling.
